Hosts announced to join Greg Norman and Rob Riggle on the HOLEY MOLEY fairway

By SEVEN

New series premieres Monday, October 19 on Channel 7

Greg Norman and Rob Riggle joined by Sonia Kruger and Matt Shirvington on the HOLEY MOLEY fairway

Seven Network today announced popular presenter Sonia Kruger and 7NEWS sports anchor Matt Shirvington will join legendary golfer Greg Norman and American actor/comedian Rob Riggle on the upcoming extreme mini golf competition series, Holey Moley.

Sonia will host the show set to premiere on Channel 7 in 2021, with Matt sharing commentating honours with Rob (Saturday Night Live,The Hangover, Step Brothers, The Other Guy), who is fresh from the smash hit second season of US Holey Moley

The trio will feature with one of the world’s most successful golfers, Australian sporting great Greg Norman, who will serve as the Resident Golf Pro of the epic Holey Moley course.

Excitedly taking her first steps into the high stakes world of mini golf, Sonia says:

Holey Moley is refreshingly new, utterly unique and completely bonkers, which I’m pretty sure is why they thought I’d be a natural fit.

It’s a total thrill to be working with the god of golf himself, the one and only Great White Shark, Greg Norman. Plus, I get to work with international comedy megastar Rob Riggle and Aussie sporting champion Matt Shirvington, or Shirvo and Riggle as I like to call them, which I’ll probably just shorten to ‘Shiggle’ for economy of words.

Sonia Kruger

No stranger to a spiked sports shoe, former athletics star Matt is pumped to hit the course.

Holey Moley is such an insane concept. Sport meets entertainment on a mind-blowing scale

I’m really looking forward to sharing the desk with Rob. I’m a huge fan of his work, he’s hilarious. Getting the chance to work with Sonia again on such a mad show is amazing, she’s such great fun. And of course, The Shark; few Australians have dominated their sport to the degree Greg Norman has – he’s one of the true Aussie legends, an absolute powerhouse.

Matt Shirvington

Angus Ross, Seven’s Director of Network Programming says the all-star hosting and commentary line-up further bolsters the family entertainment appeal of the program.

Holey Moley is serious family fun. From the sensational course you must see to believe, to the brilliant comedy and the make or break putts, this series will deliver unpredictable entertainment. Audiences can expect the unexpected on the Holey Moley course.

Angus Ross

Holey Moley sees mini golf lovers from around Australia competing head-to-head on the unparalleled, larger-than-life obstacle mini golf course. They’ll face out-of-this-world putting and physical challenges while they attempt to complete the course and reach the daunting final hole.

Each episode, one winner will take home the “Golden Putter” trophy and coveted Holey Moley plaid jacket. Then, in the Grand Final, the winners from every episode will face off for the chance to take home the $100,000 grand prize. It all comes down to one putt!

Holey Moley begins production in Brisbane today. The series is created by Eureka Productions and produced by Eureka Productions for Channel 7.

Four new star recruits confirmed for SAS Australia

By SEVEN No Comments
  • World Champion Swimmer James Magnussen
  • Cricket Legend Mitchell Johnson
  • AFLW Player Sabrina Frederick
  • Suspended Swim Star Shayna Jack

Will these star recruits make SAS selection?

SAS Australia sees Aussie celebrities take on a series of physical and psychological tests from the real SAS selection process.

This is not a game. There is no winner; there is no prize. These star recruits will eat, sleep and train together in punishing conditions, with no allowances made for their celebrity status or gender.

An elite team of ex-Special Forces soldiers will subject them to extreme physical endurance, sleep deprivation, interrogation and psychological testing, pushing the stars beyond their limits every step of the way.

Some will break and withdraw. Who has what it takes to tough it out to the end?

Completely unscripted. 100% real.

NFL returns with epic double-header on Seven

By 7SPORT

Prizes galore on offer for fans in NFL Fantasy

The NFL roars back into action on Seven next Monday when a blockbuster double-header featuring competition powerhouse New England and Super Bowl LIV runner-up San Francisco will kick-start the 2020-21 season, while fans of America’s biggest sport can sign up now for the official fantasy competition, NFL Challenge.

The LIVE and FREE action starts at 3.00am AEST Monday, September 14, on 7mate and 7plus, with New England squaring off against Miami at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots are entering their first season in 20 years without the legendary Tom Brady and will be hoping replacement quarterback, 2015 MVP Cam Newton, can get their new era started with a win.

Then at 6.25am AEST star Aussie punter Mitch Wishnowsky and the 49ers will be driven by the pain of their devastating fadeout loss in last season’s Super Bowl as they look to get their 2020-21 campaign off to a fast start against the emerging Arizona Cardinals at Levi’s Stadium.

But first fans can put their NFL smarts to the test by entering a team in NFL Challenge at 7plus.com.au/NFLFantasy – and those who deliver on America’s biggest stage will win big! The regular season winners in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Perth and South Australia/Northern Territory will each receive a big-screen TV to the value of $3000, while weekly winners receive $500, a NFL merchandise pack up to $300 and a ball signed by former Aussie star Ben Graham.

NFL V3 16x9

Graham, a prodigious punter who became the first Australian to play in a Super Bowl in 2009, returns this season for NFL Armchair Experts, where every Monday after the live action on 7mate he and Cam Luke will preview the upcoming week of matches and break down the NFL’s burning issues on 7mate, 7plus and the @7Sport social channels.

Aussies to keep an eye on this season include Wishnowsky and fellow punters Michael Dickson (Seattle Seahawks), Cameron Johnson (Philadelphia Eagles) and former St Kilda forward Arryn Siposs (Detroit Lions), along with offensive tackle Jordan Mailata (Philadelphia Eagles) and defensive end Adam Gotsis (Jacksonville Jaguars).

Managing Director Seven Melbourne and Head of Network Sport Lewis Martin commented:

The NFL is America’s biggest sporting stage and home to some of the world’s most iconic athletes. As ever, this season has some compelling storylines including Tom Brady starting afresh at Tampa Bay, Cam Newton taking over as New England quarterback and San Francisco seeking Super Bowl redemption, and we can’t wait to bring our viewers all the action. And this year we’ll be engaging fans like never before. We’re excited to have teamed up with the NFL to bring American football lovers the NFL / 7plus Fantasy Challenge. We’ve got some great prizes lined up and will be bringing the Seven audience closer to the NFL than they’ve ever been.

Seven will broadcast two games LIVE and FREE each week during the regular season and the NFL playoffs, before bringing fans all the action, excitement and glamour of one of the world’s greatest sporting events – the Super Bowl.

All of these games will be live-streamed on 7plus, while fans can also catch up on the highlights and enjoy unmissable VOD content on 7plus7NEWS.com.au and @7Sport on FacebookTwitter and Instagram.

And NFL lovers will enjoy a selection of programs on 7mate that take them inside both the action of the 2020-21 season and the game’s storied history, including NFL Hard Knocks: Los Angeles, while they’ll also have access to daily highlights and interviews on 7plus.

By 7RACING No Comments

Saturday 12.00pm AEST – LIVE & FREE on 7, 7TWO & 7plus

A coveted place in Australasia’s weight-for-age championship is on the line this Saturday at Moonee Valley’s Cox Plate Qualifier Day, while the LIVE and FREE Spring Racing on Seven also includes an action-packed day at Randwick headlined by the Chelmsford Stakes.

At Randwick, the Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) shapes as a wide-open contest after attracting a capacity field of 16.

Godolphin gelding Avilius and Hawkes Racing stablemates Angel of Truth and Zebrowski are the top fancies, but master trainer Chris Waller has a very strong hand with nine runners headed by Mister Sea WolfShared Ambition and Finche.

Australia’s pre-eminent broadcaster Bruce McAvaney will again lead racing’s best commentary team, which on Saturday features Hamish McLachlanKatelyn Mallyon and prominent Victorian trainer Henry DwyerJason Richardson and Sky Racing’s Lizzie Jelfs will also be trackside at Moonee Valley and Randwick respectively, bringing fans all the news and interviews.
